POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mobile Crisis Clinician provides rapid, on-site assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term stabilization for individuals experiencing mental or behavioral health emergencies. Responding in community settings such as homes, schools, workplaces, and public areas, the clinician works to ensure safety, reduce unnecessary hospitalizations, and connect individuals with ongoing services. As part of an intensive care team, the clinician conducts crisis assessments and safety planning for those at greatest risk of harm to self or others or experiencing grave disability due to mental illness. The role is central to helping individuals stabilize and remain safely in their community whenever possible, preventing avoidable emergency or out-of-area hospitalizations. This work requires strong clinical judgment, independence under pressure, and effective collaboration with law enforcement, emergency responders, healthcare providers, and families, all while delivering person-centered, trauma-informed care. REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Behavioral Sciences 2 years of Clinical Mental Health Counseling experience 2 years of Behavioral Health experience Emergency Trauma Technician Certification State of Alaska Driver's License
