Internetwork Expert
As the on-site electrical expert, the Industrial Electrician provides advice and guidance to other staff members. This includes training new employees and imparting knowledge on electrical matters to those in lower mechanic levels.
Responsibilities
Carry out the prompt repair, replacement, and maintenance of electrical wiring and circuits on production equipment Continuously researches and evaluates new tools and technologies for diagnosing, repairing, and preventing electrical issues in equipment Prepares codes for electronic and electrical equipment, takes charge of the installation, care, and overhaul of electrical controls, wiring, and lighting networks Facilitates the installment of recent or revised equipment and checks for the optimal functioning of electrical parts Preserves correct electrical illustrations, whether they are in hard-copy or digital form Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes Repair or replace wiring and equipment, using hand tools and power tools Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand tools and power tools Qualified candidates must have 5+ years of relevant experience and have the demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment & components including electrical, mechanical, and/or electronic with minimum supervision or assistance Basic computer skills with Microsoft windows operating environment for internet based work order system Test equipment operation including Digital multi-meters and Amp meters Electrical theory including basic /OHMs law application Basic mechanical skills with pneumatic and hydraulic systems Experience with AC/DC Drives and PLC’s in a manufacturing facility 5 years of High-Voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase power and 500 volt D-C, AC/DC Drives and PLC’s in a manufacturing facility Electrical theory including basic ohms-law application with a wide range of technical and mechanical knowledge and skills, as well as basic mechanical skills with pneumatics and hydraulic systems Excellent benefit package including health, dental, life insurance, and short-term disability. 401K plan with employer match.
