Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for supporting and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment operations within an injection molding manufacturing environment. This key role impacts product quality, production capability, operating costs, and safety through technical leadership and innovation. The engineer works as part of a cross-functional team to achieve performance goals and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and systems for a food-grade plastics injection molding environment. Develop product and process capability, performance measurements, control systems, and quality standards. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving methodologies such as statistical methods, Pareto charts, flow charting, and failure mode effects analysis (FMEA), including Six Sigma, SPC, and Designed Experiments. Ensure compliance with all safety policies. Provide leadership, coaching, and training for process teams. Lead investigations and resolutions of manufacturing or quality issues, recommend preventive actions, and optimize products and processes. Establish and maintain process and quality assurance audits to ensure standards are met. Develop corrective action plans and systems. Stay informed on industry trends to improve product quality, consistency, efficiency, or reduce costs. Work with plant teams to define process specifications, including machinery setup, operating conditions, and packaging based on customer requirements. Assist in preparing capital expenditure requests for operational improvements and new product commercialization. Serve as a resource on plant technologies, control systems, and raw materials. Implement process control improvements using DMAIC methodology. Support capacity or facility expansion projects and ensure performance targets are met. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. At least 7 years in process, maintenance, or operations roles in manufacturing preferred. Experience in injection molding and automation is highly valuable. Self-motivated, driven, and capable. Strong leadership and team engagement skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective interpersonal skills supporting a team-based culture. Passion for excellence and success. Additional Info
