Mechanic Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team to assemble, maintain, and repair machinery and vehicles. As a Mechanic, you will ensure the functionality, safety, and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and experience with a wide range of machines and tools, following strict safety protocols.
Location: 1250 Reames Rd, Middle River, MD 21220
Pay Rate: Starting at $25/hour *based on experience
Responsibilities:
Assemble and build machines or mechanical components according to specifications
Inspect and troubleshoot machines, engines, and transmissions to identify and diagnose issues
Run diagnostic tests and maintain detailed logs of all work performed
Conduct repairs with an emphasis on maximizing functionality and reliability
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components and replenish necessary fluids
Advise on correct maintenance practices and preventative measures to machine users
Undertake additional duties as required, such as repairs of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles, etc.
Experience with heavy equipment is a plus
Requirements & Skills
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Mechanic
Strong knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other mechanical systems
Skilled in using hand tools, shop tools, and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers)
Ability to follow established procedures, read instruction manuals, and wiring schematics
Must have basic hand tools for daily use
Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
Strong physical stamina and good overall fitness
Positive attitude and reliable attendance
High school diploma preferred; certification from a vocational school or apprenticeship is a plus
ASE certifications are preferred but not required
