Zoetis has the first monoclonal antibody therapy for treating atopic dermatitis in dogs. We are currently seeking to fill a new position to support our growing biopharmaceutical portfolio. Zoetis Veterinary Medicine Research and Development, Analytical Sciences in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium is seeking an analytical scientist.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:* Design and conduct laboratory experiments including analytical method development, validation and transfer. Primary techniques are HPLC, ligand binding assays (eg. ELISA, cell culture, electrophoresis, spectrophotometric assays. * Perform analytical methods necessary for the characterization and release of process and formulation samples across a variety of projects using in-house or commercial assays.* Document and communicate results in laboratory notebooks, technical reports and oral presentations.* Collaborate with other scientists in a variety of technical disciplines including within Analytical Sciences, Process Development, Biological Research, Regulatory, Quality Control and Manufacturing, and represent Analytical Sciences at meetings.* Compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety requirements and corporate policies.* Manage inventory of reagents and provide support for equipment maintenance/calibration. Minimum Qualifications:* BSc or MSc in Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline.Preferred Skills/Experience:* Experience in development of chromatographic, spectrophotometric, electrophoresis and/or ligand binding techniques (eg. ELISA) would be an advantage.* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Empower, and Softmax Pro software would be an advantage.* Good oral and written communication skills in French and in English.* Ability to work efficiently in a team by organizing, coordinating and prioritizing work effectively.Full timeOR:At , our purpose is to nurture the world and humankind by advancing care for animals.
