Chemical Process Pilot Plant Operator . We are currently operating a small pilot plant of our patented catalytic cracking process, which to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining the pilot system, ensuring efficient and safe production processes. This role is crucial in achieving our mission of making low cost zero carbon footprint hydrogen. In this position you will work directly with the project lead and will be responsible for building a team of operators for our commercial rollout expected next year. Reports to: Senior Director, Business Development & Strategy Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to: Operate pilot plant equipment and machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines. Monitor and control the process parameters to ensure optimal performance and product quality. Perform routine inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure smooth operation and prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely and effective manner. Record and maintain accurate production data and logs. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and efficiency. Assist in training and mentoring new plant operators. Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience as a plant operator, preferably in a chemical, gas processing, or industrial furnace environment. Specific Skills / Abilities
Strong understanding of plant operations, process controls, and safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics. Capable of reading Ladder Logic software and using computerized control systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Great Place to Work
