We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Contractor Construction Superintendent with ground up construction experience to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. Estimated Start Date: ASAP About Us

A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience At least five years of experience in the commercial construction industry, overseeing all aspects of ground-up projects in healthcare, financial, and light industrial sectors. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders A Construction OSHA 30 within the last 5 years or ability to renew Proficient in project reporting software, MS Office, and blueprint reading Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to various job sites Requirements
Leadership: ability to supervise and lead the team. Organization: schedule and supervise multi-tasking work of a multi-member team. Experience: proven knowledge in commercial building and related sectors. Scope of Work: experience running large commercial projects from inception to full profitable completion, including large ground up projects, interior renovations, finish work, relocation and replacement work on projects in the $2M+ range. Safety: A Superintendent Level 3 with valid OSHA 30 card at all times on Marand projects. Problem-Solving: strong problem-solving skills. Communication: excellent communication with team members, Project Management, and Customers. Computer Skills: proficient with Microsoft Office and Procore. OSHA-30 Hour Training required with recertification every 5 years per Marand policy. Education: minimum high school diploma; Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree is a plus. Experience: five to ten years’ on-the-job experience is required. Travel: travel up to 75% is required. Responsibilities
Enforcing safety compliance (OSHA and Marand safety plan and policies) as the number one priority. Supervise the construction effort to ensure project completion in accordance with design, budget, schedule, and customer objectives. Conduct weekly on-site meetings with subcontractors, vendors, and others regarding schedule, safety, and performance. Enforce compliance with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules. Supervise and ensure the health and safety of workers by enforcing all guidelines. Prepare and distribute field reports in a timely manner (daily superintendent’s reports, safety reports, etc.). Complete punch list items on time and manage punch list in Procore. Monitor and direct subcontractor progress and ensure adequate manpower to meet schedule and customer expectations. Prepare subcontractor work schedules and provide input to the Project Manager for updated project construction schedules. Verify layouts and check layouts by subcontractors and establish initial control lines and grades. Respond clearly to subcontractors with questions regarding project documents; coordinate with Construction Manager. Participate in pre-construction planning, including logistics, means and methods, bid and scope reviews, and project estimates. Maintain an up-to-date set of contract documents on site. Ensure subcontractors maintain record drawings (“red line as-builts”). Organize and maintain the on-site field office to project a professional image. Communicate timely with the Construction Manager on financial, safety, progress, labor, material, quality, and code issues. Interface and work harmoniously with Project Managers and other personnel. Manage, oversee, train, and mentor other Superintendent levels. Collaborate with other Superintendents on large projects. Pursue continuing education in OSHA and safety, means and methods, codes, management skills, and new technology. Maintain current Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification. Maintain knowledge of permit processes in communities where work is performed and communicate changes to the office. Ensure overall cleanliness of the jobsite to Marand’s standards. Physical Demands
Work at a construction site indoors and outdoors; duties may be performed in various settings. Working hours may be extended to meet project deadlines; ability to work night shifts. Dexterity to operate devices (iPad, phone) and standard office equipment. Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; typical distribution 20% sit, 40% walk, 40% stand. Physical work is a primary part of the job; may include crawling, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb stairs and ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Work Environment
The job is performed indoors in offices and on interior and exterior job sites. The environment may include wet and/or humid conditions, moving parts, high places, fumes or dust, outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and exposure to chemicals.
