Contract (5 months 17 days) Published 5 days ago On hold sap Shipping & Receiving Logistics Supply Chain Job Summary: In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing Import/Export activities with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with government regulations and organizational policies. You will play a crucial part in expediting the import/export process by collaborating with various stakeholders, including regional coordinators, warehousing teams, and production planning. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating logistics for shipments across multiple transportation modes while maintaining accurate documentation and audit-ready files. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop best practices and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within a global trade environment. Responsibilities

Perform Import/Export activities in compliance with government rules and regulations. Expedite the import/export process by liaising with regional coordinators, warehousing, and production planning. Coordinate logistics for import/export shipments (ocean, air, land, rail) in collaboration with freight forwarders and brokers. Ensure timely and compliant completion of all work adhering to internal policies and government regulations. Maintain accurate documentation compliant with US and foreign customer requirements. Audit team members' files to ensure they are maintained in an audit-ready status. Participate in internal or external audits (USCBP/EPA) as required. Process all orders accurately and timely for assigned countries or product portfolios. Stay current on applicable import/export regulations through training and self-guided initiatives. Develop, maintain, and train team members on Standard Operating Procedures related to the assigned portfolio. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify best practices and foster continuous improvement. Serve as the key contact for foreign partners/customers. Conduct import/export operations process training as needed. Skills

Strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to APHIS, Customs and Border Protection, USDA, and other government agencies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficient in project management with strong analytical skills. Experience working in SAP or Global Trade systems is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary. Qualifications

BA/BS Degree with 3+ years of experience or equivalent work experience (7+ years) in Business Administration, Logistics, Manufacturing, or International Commerce related to Import/Export. Experience with agricultural and/or chemical products is a plus.
