Operations Manager – Direct Mail As an

Operations Manager , you will ensure the efficient completion of projects for syndicated client programs through collaboration across the agency’s various departments, focusing on streamlining specifications and workflow, and effectively managing agency resources. You will ensure high quality and timely delivery of direct marketing projects across all disciplines, with a focus on direct mail, maintaining the quality and accuracy of client campaigns, and overall project scope. You will facilitate annual planning, project production, and manage day‑to‑day details with the production and client services team.

Please note that this is a hybrid position out of our Lanham, MD office.

Base Pay Range $60,000.00 / yr – $65,000.00 / yr

Your Impact

Facilitate the overall production process, including communicating project requirements for all syndicated client projects, providing status updates, artwork review, informing data, and lettershop instructions.

Collect and aggregate all client specifications for projects while ensuring accountability and consistency to all project requirements (budget, format, timelines).

Ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time.

Work in partnership with Client Services on all project schedules, timeline adjustments, and changes in scope and prioritization ensuring additional client timing requirements are properly accounted for.

Review, interpret, and perform quality control for creative artwork layout and production specifications.

Review, interpret, and perform quality control for print proofs and laser setups.

Highlight potential risks, challenges, and delays and facilitate proactive resolution.

Your Profile

3–5 years of experience in a professional agency in Project Management, Production Management, or Operations role.

Direct mail marketing agency experience required.

Expertise in using MS Office software with proven experience in Excel.

Experience using Workfront Project Management and Proofing software a plus.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from an accredited college or university.

In‑depth understanding of process, workflow, and project management best practices.

Demonstrated knowledge of print production process and direct mail processes.

Team‑player with strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to producing high‑quality work for our clients.

Strong listening, investigative, and negotiation skills.

Outstanding organizational, time management, and planning expertise.

Ability to address conflict, negotiate through differing opinions, and move a group toward consensus, to move projects forward.

Demonstrated excellent in managing multiple priorities; a resourceful self‑starter who can take initiative and follow through on projects.

Ability to think creatively and bring innovative solutions to process and production challenges, sound decision‑making and judgment.
