Job Duties & Responsibilities Safely perform field inspection and surveillance of in-process protective coatings and linings work to monitor and assure compliance with project specification requirements. Observe and conduct physical testing required to measure and verify project quality requirements. Prepare and submit detailed, actionable, and technically accurate written daily reports (digital) documenting activities, observations, findings, test results, and other relevant project data. Communicate effectively with key project stakeholders. Other technical and administrative tasks required in support of company projects. Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent. AMPP Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE CIP Level 3). At least 7 years’ protective coatings inspection experience in industrial or government markets. Highly proficient in the use of common coating inspection and test equipment. Well versed in coating industry standards, including AMPP (NACE/SSPC), ASTM, and ISO. Strong working knowledge of OSHA's General and Construction safety practices. Good oral and written communication skills. Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients. Computer, software, and technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office. Able to climb and work at heights of 100' or more. Work in confined spaces and fit through a manhole as small as 24”. Excellent vision and color perception. Qualified and capable of wearing a respirator for extended periods. Fitness for extended standing, crawling, bending, lifting, and climbing. Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. FL resident, or willing to relocate to FL (primary work location). Willing to travel as required to support projects throughout the US. Valid US driver’s license and able to pass an MVR evaluation. Reliable personal transportation for daily commute to project sites. Preferred Additional Qualifications AMPP (SSPC) Lead/Hazardous Paint Removal (C3) Course. A pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical exam, and driver’s license check will be required.
