Job Overview PFD Electric LLC is looking for a motivated and mechanically‑minded Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management team. This is an ideal position for an experienced electrician or estimator who’s ready to evolve from the field into a new role—bringing boots‑on‑the‑ground knowledge into budgeting, planning, and managing the backend of the commercial and industrial projects.
You’ll help drive multiple jobs forward by coordinating labor, tracking progress, managing documentation, and working closely with the field and office teams to ensure jobs are delivered safely, on time, and within scope. It’s a hands‑on, learning‑by‑doing position with clear opportunities to grow into a full Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities
Support field and office in planning, executing, and tracking multiple ongoing jobs.
Coordinate with field teams, clients, general contractors, and vendors to keep communication clear and job details accurate.
Monitor and report on labor hours, schedules, and material usage across projects.
Assist with purchasing, submittals, change orders, and job documentation.
Prepare weekly project updates and budget reviews to support transparency and planning.
Help create and manage project folders, field notes, submittals, and documentation logs.
Participate in job walks, punch lists, and closeout processes as needed.
Translate field needs into clear office documentation, ensuring continuity between teams.
Communicate any scope changes, scheduling impacts, or field challenges proactively.
Stay involved in technical discussions around installations, troubleshooting, and sequencing.
Continuously learn financial, contractual, and scheduling tools to grow into a full PM role.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in the electrical field (installations, estimating, field supervision, etc.).
Strong technical understanding of commercial and industrial electrical work.
Familiarity with NEC, project schedules, job tracking systems, and construction documents.
Comfortable interacting with field teams and office personnel alike.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and motivated to learn.
Basic computer proficiency (Excel, email, project management tools).
High school diploma or GED required; advanced training or certifications a plus.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
No formal PM experience required—but hands‑on jobsite and trade knowledge is essential.
