Inspiring People Marine Champion for Solent Seascape Project
The Solent Seascape Project is an collaborative innovative restoration project looking at restoring seagrass, saltmarsh, native oysters and coastal bird habitats. As part of the Solent Seascape Project, this role involves using a range of methods to raise awareness and appreciation of the Solent’s marine habitats and its wildlife. Tasks involved in this role: Reaching out to local communities through events, shows and social media, gathering fascinating facts and inspiring stories to share with others. Involves manning stalls at events, helping hold workshops or talks and generally championing our key messages to individuals and communities of the Solent to encourage positive behavioural change towards these habitats and elevated pressure.
