NP/PA Neurocritical Care Opportunity in Greenville, NC Expertise:
Six months of critical care experience is preferred. ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center are seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join its Neurocritical Care team. The successful candidate will perform admissions and discharges, histories, physical exams, ongoing patient assessments and management, daily rounding, and ICU procedures (arterial lines, central lines, lumbar punctures, and intubation). Highlights include: Employment by ECU Health Physicians Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center Supervising physician is an experienced neurointensivist Ability to perform ICU procedures Inpatient responsibilities only 7 on / 7 off, 12 hour shift schedule Integrated EMR is EPIC Large referral network including over 110 ECU Health Physician practices and 9 ECU Health owned hospitals Established clinical neuroscience team of 10 neurosurgeons and 20+ neurologists Team of 10 dedicated NSICU NP/PA’s providing 24/7 coverage ECU Health's Neuroscience program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The hospital has excellent staff in nursing, radiology, general neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and intervention, neuro-spine surgery, and neurology. Location: Greenville is the 10th largest city in North Carolina with a vibrant arts, music, culinary and festival scene. It is home to East Carolina University and offers a mild climate, numerous outdoor activities, and a cost of living below the national average.
