What you'll do

Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Operates forklift following company standards and guidelines by safely picking up, moving, placing, and positioning merchandise pallets.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicates progress and information; adapts to change and learns from feedback.

Receives stocks and organizes merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers by managing inventory flow, following company policy and procedures for equipment use, merchandising, inventory exceptions, shelf capacities, and required paperwork/logs.

Provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding and supporting self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting the company’s products and services.

Maintains safety of the facility by conducting safety checks, following forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials safely, and reporting unsafe conditions to management.

Maintains the sales floor and merchandising presentation by zoning, stocking, rotating merchandise, removing damaged goods, setting up and organizing displays, and monitoring for promotional and seasonal needs; processes defective merchandise in accordance with policies.

Ensures club pick up orders are filled by assisting with picking and staging, ensuring orders are completed within policy and procedures, and performing occasional accuracy audits.

Uses inventory tools and equipment safely; tracks goods and in-stock levels; controls shrinkage; reports poor practices and low stock levels; maintains accountability.

Proactively identifies customers who need help and assists with technology services; identifies shrink opportunities and works to address problems; maintains equipment and ensures products are stocked correctly.

Actively contributes to a respectful, inclusive environment; collaborates with team members; communicates with impact and energy; mentors and develops others where applicable.

Upholds integrity and compliance with Walmart values and supports the company’s goals and culture; demonstrates accountability and ethical behavior.

Delivers customer-focused results, makes informed decisions, and balances short- and long-term priorities in service of the team and stakeholders.

Strives for excellence by showing curiosity, taking calculated risks, and supporting change and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

90 days of prior experience with forklift operation and certification.

Ability to safely utilize pallet jacks.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

Customer Service Experience, Retail Experience, Supervising a team.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Live Better U is a company-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.
