Our client, a leading national construction management firm, is seeking a
Construction Operations Manager
to oversee the delivery and execution of major projects across its regional operations. This individual will provide strategic leadership, ensuring all projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards of quality and performance. Working closely with senior leadership and project management teams, the Construction Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, developing talent, and supporting long-term business growth. Duties and Responsibilities
Construction Operations (Approx. 55%)
Collaborate with executive and project leaders to establish consistent performance metrics across all active projects.
Oversee project planning and readiness programs to ensure execution aligns with project goals and client expectations.
Monitor project performance, providing guidance to teams encountering operational challenges.
Manage allocation of resources, including personnel and equipment, to optimize project efficiency.
Promote continuous improvement through process optimization and use of technology.
Ensure effective communication and collaboration among trade partners, subcontractors, and field teams.
Lead monthly project performance reviews and participate in enterprise-level evaluations.
Support and uphold safety initiatives across all job sites.
Maintain compliance with all internal procedures, quality standards, and labor relations practices.
People Leadership (Approx. 25%)
Develop and execute long-term staffing strategies, focusing on talent development and retention.
Lead, mentor, and coach project teams to achieve both individual and organizational goals.
Foster an inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and collaboration.
Conduct performance evaluations and support continuous employee growth.
Model integrity, accountability, and teamwork in all leadership practices.
Business Development (Approx. 20%)
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Support regional teams in market development and client relationship management.
Collaborate on communication strategies to ensure consistent engagement across client teams.
Participate in pursuit efforts and strategic business planning as directed by leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in
Construction Management, Engineering, Design , or a related field.
10+ years of experience
in construction management, project delivery, cost control, and operations leadership.
Proven ability to lead large teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and production planning.
Demonstrated expertise in safety management, quality assurance, and client relations.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
Proficiency in lean construction principles and process improvement methodologies preferred.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to project sites.
