The
Senior Technical Operations Technician
will ensure formulation efficiencies for all pilot productions and capture any formulation deviations. The Sr Technical Operations Technician position is the liaison between Production and Product Development departments and communicates any recommendations and/or changes for all pilot and re-order products. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of the end to end packaging process, including blending, encapsulation, compression, and powder filling. Responsibilities
Conducts well-designed experiments Be readily available to perform quick and timely adjustments to optimize production runs at all stages of the production process. Presents relevant findings to the appropriate technical groups. Develops prototypes to demonstrate application of new technologies and develop related intellectual properties Oversees all pilot and first-time production runs. Is responsible for ensuring any changes are within scope of the project and communicated back to appropriate departments. Closely work with Product Development and Quality departments to ensure any deviations and changes are captured and recorded. Responsible for the coordination and execution of benchtop, pilot, manufacturing scale-up and verification batches. Problem Solving: Leading problem-solving sessions using (A3) lean manufacturing methodology. Physical Testing: Perform raw material physical testing (particle size distribution, bulk density, flowability, sensory, and organoleptic). The ability to troubleshoot manufacturing equipment. Key Performance Indicators (KPI): Update and maintain KPI’s and the ability to speak on progress during daily huddles. Trains others in developing new products; conducts appropriate experiments and instructs in the proper use of laboratory and manufacturing equipment Collecting data, writing reports, and presenting findings to senior management Performs quality work within deadlines under general guidance. Interacts professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Works effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Works independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Prepares baseline schedules, schedules documents for approval, and drives process to completion Participates in project meetings Supervisory Responsibilities

Bachelor’s degree in Science Microsoft Suite proficient, with advanced Excel skills Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP) Bilingual communication skills a plus Experience

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly require talking, hearing and grasping items. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, strong fumes, loud noises, and occasionally extreme temperatures. The employee must frequently grasp, lift and/or move items 10 pounds and occasionally grasp, lift and/or move items up to 33 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Additional Information
The Hourly Range for this position at Lief Labs is $85,000.00 - $107,000.00/annual (USD). Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to market demands, experience, training, skills, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, wellness benefits, education reimbursement program, and PTO.
