We are currently looking to recruit a
Transport Planner / Transport Coordinator
to join our friendly team. The successful candidate will play the crucial role of coordinating and planning pallet deliveries within the TF, SY, LD postcodes. This is a dual role position, very much hands on in our busy traffic / pallet network department Shifts alternate every other week, 05.00am to 3.00pm and 08.00am to 6.00pm The successful candidate would have:
Previous experience in multi-drop transport planning role (an advantage) Experience working in the transport sector Excellent communication and organisational skills The ability to work within a fast paced environment Excellent telephone manner The ability to work on your own initiative Training supplied on our Transport Management & Vehicle Tracking Systems. Pallet Network experience would be an advantage but not essential Training will be offered to the right candidate Excellent opportunity for progressing within the business National and local geographical knowledge are advantageous for this role Main Duties will include:
Planning routes, and loads for a large vehicle fleet around the TF, SY, LD postcode area Maximise vehicle and driver utilisation Communicating with the C&D drivers clearly throughout the day. Solve real-time logistics issues to maintain customer satisfaction Ability to work within a team and support the Operations Team Organising collections from our customers utilising our own fleet of vehicles and drivers Planning, manifesting and scanning of pallets for national onward transportation via our Pallet Networks. Collating and uploading customer paperwork Dealing with customer emails Liaising with other member depots around the UK Develop and build relationships with relevant staff and our distribution hubs Develop and build relationships with UK member depots Providing customers with support booking in deliveries and collections Managing shipment process for European and Irish consignments ensuring customs data is collated and uploaded for clearance and ongoing shipment. Dealing with customer service calls and network member queries Assisting drivers with any delivery or collection issues Supporting the wider transport / operations team Communicating with the C&D drivers clearly throughout the day. Liaising with other departments within the business Follow company procedures to maintain service excellence Job Type:
Full-time, Permanent Schedule:
