As a result, a full‑time position is available for Transportation Development Project Manager. This opportunity is available in our Raleigh, NC office location.

Responsibilities

Manages project development phase of transportation improvement projects

Subject matter expert for NCDOT project development and environmental analysis, including Merger Process

Develops scopes, fee estimates and PDN schedules for project development tasks

Completes NEPA/SEPA documentation, leads community studies tasks and facilitates public involvement meetings

Serves as contract manager for NCDOT Feasibility Studies Unit LSC and oversees development and completion of Express Design deliverables

Ability to work within a collaborative team

Provide QA/QC for project development tasks

Travel will be required for this role.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field from an accredited college or university AND at least seven (7) years or related experience —OR-- if no degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required

At least 2 years of Project Management experience

PE license or AICP certification

Preferred Qualifications

NCDOT project management experience and understanding of PDN procedures

Knowledge and experience with NEPA/SEPA, NCDOT Merger Process, Section 4(f)/6(f), and public involvement/stakeholder engagement

Proficiency in GIS software, Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Project, and NCDOT ATLAS

Strong organizational, communication and presentation abilities

Tracking of project financials and participation in business development meetings
