Overview
Kenai Peninsula College invites applications for the Program Coordinator for the federally funded TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program. This unique opportunity allows you to make a significant impact on the academic success and retention of low‑income, first‑generation, and disabled students within a collaborative campus community dedicated to student achievement and educational equity. Responsibilities
Develop and implement personalized education plans for TRIO participants to promote academic and career goals. Conduct outreach, facilitate workshops, and coordinate program activities to ensure participants thrive throughout their postsecondary journey. Deliver individualized student support, lead engaging workshops, and collaborate with campus departments and external agencies. Maintain accurate records, track progress, and generate reports using Microsoft Office Suite and student information systems. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in student personnel administration, developmental education, counseling, testing, or a related field. Minimum of three years experience in academic advising, career counseling, caseload management, or a related field. Experience working in higher education, preferably a community college setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, student information systems, and record‑keeping/reporting tools. Knowledge of postsecondary admissions, financial aid, transfer processes, and familiarity with TRIO programs is highly desirable. Position Details
Location: Kenai Peninsula College campus, Soldotna. Type: Full‑time, term‑exempt staff position. Compensation: Grade 79, starting at $27.95 per hour, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays, tuition waivers, and affordable medical, dental, and vision coverage.
