Work Location: Onsite
Schedule: Per Diem (On-call), Evenings 8 hours, Variable; 7 days on, 7 days off rotation; 8 hours for the evening shift and 8 hours on call.
Position Summary
The After Hours RN – Hospice Care is responsible for direct patient care, responding to patient/family needs, and providing skilled nursing assessment, planning, supportive care, and appropriate services in accordance with the attending physician\'s orders and the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) plan of care. Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to hospice patients in the after-hours setting. Assess patient condition, plan care, and implement appropriate interventions. Coordinate with the IDT to ensure continuity of care and adherence to the care plan. Respond to patient and family needs with empathy and professional communication. Education And Experience
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. One (1) year recent Hospice or Home Health experience required. Minimum three (3) years general nursing experience (Med/Surg or Critical Care preferred). Experience with pain management and infusion therapy preferred. Current RN license in the State of Washington. Certification via NBCHPN within 12 months. Current BLS HCP verification. Maintain a valid WA State Driver\'s License, personal auto insurance, and be insurable with the District\'s Insurance Carrier. Benefits and Compensation
Wage Range: $37.450 - $70.012. WhidbeyHealth employees who work a 0.5 FTE or higher are categorized as benefit eligible. Benefit information is available from the employer. Additional Information
