Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940–$1990 per week
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (option to extend)
Location: Columbus, OH 43210 – Ohio healthcare jobs
Unit: General Medicine, Med/Surg Unit (11 West Doan Hall)
Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts/week (19:00 – 07:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Start Date: November 17, 2025
End Date: February 16, 2026
Weekend Coverage: 3-4 weekend days/month
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Ohio RN license or compact nursing license
Minimum 2 years of recent med/surg clinical nursing experience
BCLS and IV certification required
Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
Strong communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
Travel nursing experience preferred
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
Two professional references (one from supervisor/manager or charge RN)
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Initiate and manage IVs; administer medications safely
Monitor vital signs and patient responses
Educate patients on treatments and self-care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
Document care using EPIC EMR
Float to lower acuity units as needed
Perform med/surg procedures (Foleys, PICC, IV antibiotics, chest tubes, paracentesis, lumbar puncture, etc.)
Maintain patient safety and comply with hospital policies
