Atrium Health Rehabilitation Cleveland and Kings Mountain, part of Advocate Health, is located in Cleveland County, North Carolina. We offer a comprehensive range of outpatient rehabilitation services with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We treat conditions such as musculoskeletal injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, pediatrics, pelvic health, and lymphedema. The facility provides therapies such as aquatic rehabilitation, cancer rehabilitation, and vestibular rehabilitation.
Job Summary Evaluates, plans, directs and administers programs of Physical Therapy (PT) in an outpatient setting, upon referral by the physician. Plans and conducts PT programs to restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach their maximum level of independence.
Essential Functions
Provides direct therapy services to patients in a setting that requires services seven days a week, including holidays.
Evaluates patients, selects and administers assessment techniques, and develops comprehensive patient care plans including modalities, procedures, exercise programs, therapeutic groups and patient education.
Gathers and interprets data from medical records, physician reports, patients and/or families as evidenced by documentation.
Documents evaluations, tests, progress notes, daily treatment notes, attendance records, patient/family education, outcomes, discharge notes, and charges as needed.
Communicates patient evaluation and progress to physician, referral sources, and other clinical staff; coordinates patient schedules, treatment programs and discharge planning.
Provides supervision of PT aides as required for licensure.
Physical Requirements Hearing (corrected) adequate for oral communication; vision (corrected) adequate for reading; intelligible speech and adequate language/cognitive skills. Required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day; may climb stairs, kneel, twist, bend; may crouch, crawl and reach overhead. Lifting of patients, equipment or supplies up to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Able to transfer patients weighing up to 100 pounds rarely. PPE such as gloves, goggles, gowns, and masks may be required. Work is in a fast-paced clinical environment, primarily indoors with occasional outdoor tasks.
Education, Experience And Certifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. North Carolina license for Physical Therapy. BLS required per policy guidelines.
Pay Range $37.50 - $56.25
