position.
Job Summary Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President, the COTA provides occupational therapy treatments to patients, coordinating with Recreation Therapy to offer therapeutic leisure activities. The role requires knowledge of growth and development principles relevant to the geriatric patient population, with the ability to assess and interpret patient data to meet their specific needs.
Qualifications
Associate's degree as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
PA State licensure as a COTA
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Valid PA driver’s license
Gerontology experience preferred
Minimum of 1 year of COTA experience preferred
Criminal background clearance by PA State Police
Physical Demands & Working Conditions Requires medium physical effort, including lifting 10-50 lbs, standing, bending, and working in reaching positions. Must be able to transport self within the facility. Exposure to blood, body substances, and chemicals may occur.
