Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist - Updated Salary Rates

LCMC Health is seeking a Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist. The Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist specializes in perinatal sonography under direct supervision. Responsible for the independent operation of diagnostic medical ultrasound equipment to obtain images of OB-GYN conditions and for performing various scans according to AIUM guidelines. Performs ultrasound guidance for amniocentesis, chorionic villi sampling, and other procedures in a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice. Responsible for equipment maintenance, report of equipment failures, high level disinfection, and quality assessment/improvement activities. Perform transabdominal and transvaginal scans to obtain detailed fetal anatomy exams, Doppler studies, biophysical profiles, nuchal translucency, 2D/3D imaging, and cervical length assessments. Select appropriate transducers and settings; expand examinations for abnormalities. Assist with invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villi sampling. Review physician orders and ensure proper examination and diagnostic results; verify images and documentation in the MFM system. Maintain patient safety and prepare patients with relevant clinical information; explain procedures and answer questions. Identify and respond to clinical or emergent problems; coordinate with the healthcare team. Experience and Education Qualifications

Required: Associate\'s or Bachelor\'s Degree in Sonography. Required: 1 year of MFM sonography in an outpatient setting. Preferred: Fetal Medicine experience. Licenses and Certifications

Required: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS) - American Heart Association Required: Fetal Nuchal Translucency Certification - Fetal Medicine Foundation Required: Sonography Certification - ARRT Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Physical dexterity to operate ultrasound equipment; knowledge of fetal anatomy and circulation. Ability to maintain sterile environment during procedures; effective communication; attention to detail; ability to work in fast-paced and stressful situations. Teamwork and analytic/critical thinking to problem solve; promote patient satisfaction. Work Schedule
