Job Overview This position involves supporting clinical care, managing patient flow, assisting with procedures, and providing clerical support within the vascular surgery department. The role requires certification, relevant experience, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Assist in providing clinical care as delegated by supervising provider.
Manage provider’s schedule and patient flow to optimize clinical efficiency.
Greet patients, escort to exam rooms, and verify patient identifiers.
Communicate task completion and assist with clinical procedures and tests.
Record vital signs and clinical information accurately in electronic health records.
Prepare exam rooms, maintain inventory, and notify supervisors for supply needs.
Administer routine injections under supervision and document accurately.
Participate in meetings and ongoing training to improve patient care quality.
Stay informed about community resources and healthcare system updates.
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality per HIPAA and organizational policies.
Perform clerical duties such as scheduling, registration, and record management.
Float to other practices as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Certification from AAMA or NHA.
Post-secondary medical assisting education (preferred for specialty office).
Basic Life Support certification.
Proficiency with medical office technology and electronic health records.
Minimum two years of clinical experience preferred.
Additional Information Position is part-time, 20 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 7 am - 5 pm, with no weekends or holidays. Sign-on bonus eligible.
