$36.48 per hour Summary:
Performs all MRI procedures and maintains a thorough working knowledge of the operation of all equipment in the MRI area. Safely operates the scanner and injector to produce diagnostic quality MR images. Understands the computer software of the MR scanners and maintains competency in the MR area. Applies knowledge of MR anatomy and pathophysiology to produce high-quality images under the direction of a radiologist. Provides safe and appropriate patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote satisfaction among patients, employees, and physicians. Participates in performance improvement initiatives, staff/student orientation, and training. Performs venipuncture for appropriate exams and may transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Requirements:
Educational Requirements:
Graduation from a JRCERT-accredited or ARRT-approved Radiography or MRI degree program. Experience Requirements:
No experience required. Radiology or MRI degree graduates are accepted. State of Florida Licensure Requirements:
Florida Radiologic Technologist License for radiology techs only. MRI degree for non-radiology techs. Certifications/Registration Requirements:
BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support) required. ARRT registration or eligibility required. **For Florida Radiology FRL FLRAD locations:** ARRT certification in Radiology and MRI Technology is required for leasing candidates.
