The USF Department of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors a diverse and nationally competitive Division I athletic program serving student‑athletes, staff, faculty, alumni, boosters and the South Florida community. The program’s priority is the student‑athletes’ progress toward graduation and their health, fitness and emotional development.
Responsibilities
Oversee healthcare of student‑athletes, including evaluations, emergency care, injury/illness care and treatments, rehabilitation, and event medical coverage.
Manage provider visits, communication between providers and patients, and coordinate testing and rehabilitation visits.
Provide oversight for Athletic Training students, observation students, and clinical immersion students.
Assist in managing and implementing new facility needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited Athletic Training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certified or eligible for certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).
Licensed or eligible for licensure as an athletic trainer in the state of Florida.
Preferred: Clinical experience in an intercollegiate setting.
