Job Title: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Carlsbad, NM 88220 Healthcare Setting: General Medical-Surgical Inpatient Unit (42 beds) Patient Ratio: 1:6 Shift: 12-hour night shifts (6:30pm – 7:00am); floating and on-call required Contract Length: 13 weeks Weekly Hours: 36 Estimated Weekly Salary: $1570 - $1680 per week Scrub Color: Any color Electronic Medical Record: MedHost Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Mexico or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience Current ACLS and BLS certifications required PALS certification preferred Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a 42-bed unit Manage a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring patient safety and comfort Float to other hospital units and participate in on-call shifts as needed Accurately document patient care and assessments in MedHost EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards Benefits
