Summary
PATH Behavioral Healthcare’s Adolescent Treatment Clinic, a dynamic Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)-centered Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) for adolescents, is expanding its scope to offer outpatient services for teens and families. We’re seeking an insightful and collaborative therapist to lead this exciting next step by serving outpatient clients in a setting grounded in experiential, values-based work.
You will get the opportunity to work with youth from all walks of life, including those in foster care, Medicaid recipients, and those navigating the juvenile justice system.
The ideal candidate will bring clinical skill, creativity, and a passion for working with adolescents and their families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and identity development. You’ll collaborate with a tight-knit team of clinicians, psychiatrists, and case managers in a therapeutic environment that values transparency, flexibility, and growth.
This highly collaborative role provides the unique opportunity to shape the outpatient branch of our clinic’s mission—offering high-quality, ACT-driven therapy with compassion and clinical rigor. Paid clinical supervision for licensure is available for pre-licensed clinicians.
This position is paid per billable hour (including generous admin time) with guaranteed training hours and a comprehensive onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
Provide outpatient psychotherapy to adolescents and families using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and related evidence-based practices Conduct diagnostic interviews, clinical assessments, and develop collaborative, values-aligned treatment plans Maintain a small, manageable caseload with a focus on depth-oriented, experiential therapy Coordinate care with in-house PHP staff and outpatient providers to ensure continuity and wraparound support Participate in weekly team consultation, ongoing ACT trainings, and shared clinical development Engage in program development as the outpatient services expand
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited university
Licensure
CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, AMFT, or LMFT in the state of Utah
Preferred Experience
Experience with ACT, DBT, or other contextual behavioral therapies Background in adolescent mental health, family systems, or trauma-informed care Familiarity with neurodivergence and gender-affirming practices a plus Comfortable working in a hybrid model of in-person and telehealth
Physical Effort
Must be able to sit for extended periods, use computers regularly, and occasionally support crisis interventions
Communication Skills
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential. Candidates should be confident engaging both teens and caregivers and writing clear, collaborative documentation.
Technical Skills
Familiarity with EHR systems and telehealth platforms. Training provided on clinic-specific tools.
Background
Must pass state and federal background checks. Education and licensure will be verified.
