Our Rehabilitation Services Department is actively seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our Acute Care Therapy Team at Gulf Coast Medical Center. In the ICU, SLPs drive innovation through an early-activity program as embedded members of the critical care team. They also contribute their expertise within a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center, working across high-acuity units. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is responsible for providing screening, evaluation, treatment, and education for individuals with impairments in speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and/or swallowing. The SLP adheres to American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) professional standards and engages in administration, consultation, education, and research. The SLP is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner. Key attributes include critical thinking, communication, problem solving, interpersonal skills, responsibility, professionalism, constructive feedback usage, time and resource management, stress management, and commitment to learning. Requirements: Education: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience: Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC). If not otherwise indicated, one year of current experience within the last three years for a comparable job classification is required. Certification: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support). License: Active Florida State Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure. Location: US, FL, Fort Myers
