Adjunct Faculty - Physical Therapist Assistant Program
Location: Crown Point, IN Pay:
$47.35 per classroom hour Overview:
Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions hired each semester on an as-needed basis. The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School. Responsibilities
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught and follow syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submit requested information within established timelines. Student Support
Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues. Instruction
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s). Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate. In event of emergency absence, notify program/department chair. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote inclusivity as an integral part of ones work. Requirements
Candidates must upload transcripts and/or credentials to be considered. You can upload multiple documents where you upload your resume. A qualified clinical education coordinator in the Physical Therapist Assistant program: Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution; and Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program; and Holds professional licensure or certification in the field; and Has a minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice, of which two years must include experience as a CCCE or CI in physical therapy, or a minimum of two years of experience in teaching, curriculum development, and administration in a PT or PTA program. Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
