Child and Fam Mental Health Provider - Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Clinician Thanks for your interest in Children's Mercy! We are expanding services through the Illuminate Initiative and opening our Partial Hospitalization Program. We are seeking a compassionate, master's-level clinician to join our founding team. You will provide evidence-based individual, group, and caregiver-focused therapy to children and adolescents participating in the PHP. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, behavioral health technicians, and behavioral health care coordinators to deliver comprehensive, person-centered care. Location: Adele Hall Campus - Partial Hospitalization Program | Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Children's Mercy Department of Social Work, Child and Family Mental Health Services provides programming to support families through evidence-based clinical services. Our services target a broad range of patients and families, including children in crisis, parents seeking help with child behavior, and children and families affected by trauma. The age range served is as young as 2 up to 18, or older in the emergency department if needed. Goals of treatment include safety planning, crisis stabilization, skill development, resilience, social integration, improved parenting skills, and better family communication. Child and Family Therapy Service Provision and Documentation: Provide evidence-based mental health treatments to patients and families within the assigned clinical area. Case Management and Collaboration: Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strong partnerships, including communication with referral sources and service providers. Professional Development: Demonstrate active involvement and leadership within the team and hospital by attending meetings and educational opportunities, serving as a consultant where appropriate. Qualifications
Master’s Degree required upon hire. 1–2 years of experience preferred. Licensed Master’s Social Worker (KS or MO) required upon hire; if licensed as LMSW, must be engaged in clinical supervision. Licensure specifics by state: KS: LMSW or LSCSW; LCPC is not KS but listed in the original content—include as applicable when licensed in KS. MO: LMSW or LCSW; LPC is listed as MO option; licensure must align with state requirements and within 90 days, obtain reciprocal license if practicing across state lines. If hired in Missouri, must have MO license (LMSW/LCSW or LPC) upon hire and obtain the Kansas license within 90 days, if applicable; if hired in Kansas, must have KS license (LMSW/LSCSW or LCPC) upon hire and obtain MO license within 90 days, if applicable.
