Job Title: Research Senior Technician - Comprehensive Cancer Center Department: Medicine | School of Biomedical Sciences - Cancer Biology and Genetics Location: Biomedical Research Tower (0112) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift The Research Technician 3 will support ongoing projects in molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics. The successful candidate will assist with laboratory procedures, maintain accurate records, manage lab operations, and contribute to training undergraduate researchers. Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.

Responsibilities

Assist with laboratory procedures related to molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics.

Maintain accurate records and manage lab operations.

Train undergraduate researchers and support the research team as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow established protocols.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications

Experience with protein biochemistry.

Experience with cell culture.

Prior experience in a research laboratory setting.
