Position Summary

Qualifications This position requires at least one year experience and candidates will work rotating weekends.
Education/Training Graduate of an accredited school of sonography. Depending on assigned department, meets education/training as required under established current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) guidelines.
Licensure/Certification
Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
Must maintain one of the following:
Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in fetal echocardiography.
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
Experience Able to perform routine echocardiology exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode echocardiography and/or vascular sonography exams including, but not limited to, 2-D and M-Mode Imaging, Color Flow and Spectral Doppler, Carotid Ultrasound, Venous Doppler Upper and Lower Extremities, and Arterial Duplex Upper and Lower Extremities. Knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
Must demonstrate competency within the first six months of hire in performing at least THREE of the following ECHO and/or Vascular exams: 3-D, Strain, Exercise Stress Echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress Echocardiography, TAVR, Mitral Clip, Complex Valve, Watchman, Post Processing, Contrast Studies, Agitated Saline Studies, Transesophageal (TEE), Surgical TEE, Simple Cardiac Shunts, Venous Insufficiency, Visceral, Segmental Physiology Upper Extremity, Access Grafts, Hemodialysis Access, Venous Ablation Procedures, Ultrasound Guidance, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Temporal Artery, or Transcranial Imaging.
