The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at the University of Arizona-Tucson and Banner University Medicine-Tucsonis actively seeking an Ophthalmologist with fellowship training in Cornea and External Disease.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Cornea Surgeon to join our growing faculty team. The selected individual will be responsible for surgical and non-surgical management of corneal and external disease, along with comprehensive eye care. Clinical services are provided at the Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson and two medical center campuses located within 15 minutes from the clinic. Our residency program has 4 residents per year, and an enthusiastic commitment to teaching is desired. The preferred candidate will also possess an interest in clinical research and/or translational research. The position will have an academic faculty appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson - College of Medicine at a Rank consistent with the candidates credentials,

which includes a generous tuition discount for the applicant and immediate family members. Responsibilities

Provide surgical and non-surgical management of corneal and external disease and deliver comprehensive eye care.

Deliver clinical services at the Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson and at two medical center campuses within 15 minutes of the clinic.

Participate in teaching for residents (residency program with 4 residents per year) and contribute to the education mission of the department.

Engage in clinical research and/or translational research as an interest and opportunity.

Maintain a professional academic appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson - College of Medicine at a rank consistent with credentials.

Qualifications

BC or BE by American Board of Ophthalmology

Successful completion of a Fellowship in Cornea and External Disease
