Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced OBGYN Sonographer to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sonography, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology, and demonstrate proficiency in various imaging modalities. As an OBGYN Sonographer, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, ensuring patient comfort and safety while delivering accurate results to support clinical decisions.
Duties
Perform high-quality ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecological patients, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in the interpretation of diagnostic images.
Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including Epic, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and minimize infection risks.
Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology, including MRI, CT, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, nuclear medicine, and X-ray.
Educate patients regarding procedures and provide emotional support throughout the imaging process.
Uphold compliance with health regulations and safety standards within the clinical environment.
Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in sonography and related fields.
Skills
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology relevant to obstetrics and gynecology.
Proficient in diagnostic radiology techniques and principles of anatomy and physiology.
Strong understanding of various imaging modalities including MRI, CT, PET scans, DEXA scans, mammography, nuclear medicine, X-ray, and sonography.
Experience with EMR systems such as Epic for efficient patient data management.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a hospital setting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
