Key Responsibilities
Deliver evidence‑based speech and language therapy services to students within elementary and early childhood educational settings.
Manage caseloads typically capped at 60 students, including those in self‑contained life‑skills programs, ensuring tailored interventions that meet individual needs.
Participate in play‑based assessment and collaborative evaluation teams to support inclusion and specialized educational programming.
Service students in inclusive and self‑contained classrooms ranging from early childhood (ages 3‑5) to middle school (K‑8).
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and collaborate closely with teachers, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications
Valid Illinois license for speech‑language pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech‑Language‑Hearing Association.
Prior experience in school‑based SLP roles, including early childhood and K‑8 populations.
Ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to diverse learner needs and educational environments.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Assignment Details
Location: Romeoville, Illinois (in‑person)
Multiple leave positions available:
ASAP through January 12, 2026 – Elementary K‑5, including life‑skills programs.
November 20, 2025 through March 6, 2026 – Elementary and Middle School (K‑8, no travel between facilities).
January 5, 2026 through April 13, 2026 – Early Childhood Center, with emphasis on inclusion and play‑based assessments.
Caseloads do not exceed 60 students and include weighted assignments for self‑contained programs.
Opportunities to combine assignments for extended contract duration through April 2026.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation for this position ranges from $41.40 to $61.40 per hour. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
