Travel RN Job Details Assignment Type: Travel RN (locum tenens) Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg Nursing) Location: Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania (PA), 18764 Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), every other weekend and holiday Contract Duration: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Facility Size: 352 beds Unit Size: 21 beds Patient Ratio: 1:6 (may surge to 1:7) Start Date: September 29, 2025 End Date: December 29, 2025 Hourly Pay Rate: $80/hr Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent travel nurse experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required BLS certification (American Heart Association) required Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Ability to float to Medical Surgical Telemetry (MS Tele) unit as needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients, including post-op surgical, bariatric, and oncology cases Administer prescribed medications and treatments Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition Utilize remote telemetry monitoring systems with monitor tech support Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) Float to MS Telemetry unit as required Ready to take the next step in your nursing career?
