Job Summary This position supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non‑clinical patient services under the direction of providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. The role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, and collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Certified Medical Assistant (national certification) preferred
1–2 years of direct medical assisting experience or in a medical field is required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in complex and busy environments
Accuracy and attention to detail
Compliance with all local, state, and federal privacy regulations
Ability to take vital signs, manual blood pressure, and collect blood samples and other specimens
Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office software
Using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions
Managing one’s own time and that of others
