Pride Health is hiring a
phlebotomist
to support a medical facility in
Schaumburg, IL . This is a
3+ month
contract with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity. Pay Range
$23.00/hr - $25.00/hr Shift
M-F 8:30am-6:00pm Duration
3+ months contract Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens from patients of all ages. Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process. Accurately label specimens and complete requisition forms. Adhere to standardized procedures for waived testing, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of results. Properly handle and store specimens to maintain sample integrity. Follow protocols for specimen transport and disposal. Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as directed by healthcare providers. Apply electrodes and monitor patients during the procedure to ensure quality tracings. Prepare and verify manifests for specimens being sent to external laboratories or for transportation purposes. Requirements
Ability to provide quality, error‑free work in a fast‑paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on‑call, and overtime. Must demonstrate superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience as a phlebotomist required. Benefits
