Sr. Environmental Specialist for global specialty chemicals company with a production site in Houston, Texas (east side of Houston). Responsibilities
Primary responsibility of this role is managing the site's solid waste and supporting the Quality Control Laboratory operations. Ensure compliance with all AIMS HESQ policies & practices including ISO-9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and RCMS. Have responsibility for the Potable Water Systems. Required Education/Qualifications/Work experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental, Engineering, Chemistry or other related technical field OR Associate’s Degree or relevant certifications may be considered with demonstrated knowledge and years of service taken into account. Minimum 7+ years of experience in the day-to-day involvement in HES activities and handling hazardous & non-hazardous waste. Basic knowledge of state and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations required, with a demonstrated desire to become proficient in all reporting requirements. Possess class D license for potable water operator or ability to obtain one. Certified forklift operator. The Sr. Environmental Specialist is responsible for completing routine and special analytical sample requests as received. Completion of all routine and non-routine solid waste activities.
