Phlebotomist I – Irvine, CA
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends
State phlebotomy license required (Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV).
Pay range: $21.70 - $25.10 per hour. Salary offers consider skills, training, experience, education, and applicable certifications. Eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions as per training.
Research test/client information and confirm and verify all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
Process specimens (labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport) as required by test order.
Perform all non‑patient facing duties, including inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs in a timely manner (maintenance logs, temperature logs).
Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Certification:
Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Experience:
One year phlebotomy experience preferred; customer service in a retail or service environment preferred; keyboard/data entry experience.
Ability to effectively communicate in English.
