$65,000 – 80,000 per year DOE

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Successfully passed the national board exam

Licensed to practice as a PTA in the state of Alaska

Responsibilities

Treat patient dysfunctions in accordance with the physical therapist’s plan of care

Use safe, effective treatment methods to achieve functional and measurable goals

Recommend modifications to treatment plans to progress patients toward discharge criteria

Document patient care in compliance with all applicable regulations and policies

Communicate relevant patient information to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Provide effective informal and formal clinical instruction as needed

Interpret and apply the physical therapist’s plan of care to guide interventions

Assess patient response and suggest treatment changes as needed

Educate patients on interventions, expected outcomes, and alternatives

Promote injury prevention and wellness through patient education

Participate in multidisciplinary collaboration to develop intervention strategies
