An Echocardiography Sonographer is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Professional qualified by credentialing, education, and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related procedures. The scope of practice includes procedures permitted by law for which the individual has received education, demonstrated competency, and completed ARDMS certification, the standard in cardiac ultrasound. Perform comprehensive echocardiograph imaging demonstrating cognitive skills. Perform comprehensive echocardiograph exams demonstrating technical skills. Understand and apply technical requirements for Contrast Echocardiography (LVO Doppler enhancement, MCE, shunt evaluation). Additional duties may be assigned. Position Compensation Range: $31.98 - $51.17 Hourly. Minimum Requirements
Education: Must meet the education requirement for Echocardiography Sonographer certification with CCI or ARDMS; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience: No experience required; 2 years relevant experience preferred. Licensure: RCS or RDCS with CCI or RCVT with ARDMS certification within 12 months of hire. AHA BLS certification required. Physical Demands
Job requires standing, bending, traveling, reaching, repetitive motion with ultrasound transducer, and lifting/pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
