JOB SUMMARY: Provides patient-focused primary health care services at Redfern Student Health Center. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission accreditation standards while addressing the needs of university students. Participates in performance improvement teams, committees, and other tasks to support Student Health Services objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
85% - Essential - Primary Care Management: Provides outpatient primary care (in-office or remote) for students, care of acute illness or injury for visitors, and workers' compensation care for Clemson University employees. Includes preventative care, referrals to internal and external resources, and patient education.
10% - Essential - Compliance: Maintains medical records in accordance with Joint Commission standards, Student Health Services policies, and applicable laws.
5% - Essential - Performance Improvement: Participates on Student Health Center performance improvement teams and committees, as well as other university committees.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Doctoral / Professional Degree and completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program
Certifications: Board Certified Primary Care Physician licensed to practice in South Carolina
Job Knowledge
Comprehensive knowledge of theories and practices and ability to apply in complex, difficult, and unprecedented situations
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises work of others; may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have final decision-making authority

Compensation Information Salary commensurate with experience. Salary is dependent upon factors including but not limited to previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
