Follow acceptable practice standards to evaluate and treat patients according to Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial insurance, etc. Conduct and document a thorough assessment of residents to determine swallowing and communicative deficits and equipment needs. Develop and implement an individualized treatment program based on the initial evaluation with achievable functional goals. Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines and maintain timely and accurate departmental records. Enter treatment and progress notes in each treatment session's resident record and revise the plan as needed based on resident performance. Document the course of treatment in a clear discharge summary using the prescribed format. Orient residents to program services and inform them of potential risks during processes. Work with nursing staff, residents, and families to maximize functional abilities and instruct on procedures to be continued at home after discharge. Assist in the referral process when additional services are required after discharge and maintain knowledge of community resources. Attend rehabilitation team conferences and department/facility meetings as required; participate in continuing education and in-service sessions. Participate in quality improvement activities, comply with Ahava Therapy Services' standards, and support facility policies and safety programs. Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources by resident goals and discharge outcomes. Maintain knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party guidelines. Maintain appropriate productivity levels and demonstrate independence while seeking supervision when needed. Perform other duties as assigned to provide quality care. Qualifications

Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Board-certified or BLS CPR certification as required. Benefits
