Shift 3/10:30:00 PM to 7:00:00 AM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:
$30.39 - $39.50 / hour Hiring Incentives:
Up to $10,900 eligible for night shift differential of $6 per hour
Summary Performs all diagnostic/vascular ultrasound procedures, fixed and mobile, according to department policy. A Level II Sonographer must hold two registries in any combination of vascular, abdomen or OB programs. Assists the radiologist with designated diagnostic exams, guided needle procedures, paracentesis, thoracentesis, needle biopsies, needle localization, and OR procedures. Requires proficiency in abdomen, obstetric, gynecology, small parts, vascular and color Doppler scans. Maintains general computer skills, may transport non-narcotic medications, and collaborates with medical staff to promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives, staff/student orientation training, and on‑call rotations as determined by department needs.
Requirements Educational: Graduated from an accredited or ARRT approved ultrasound program. New graduates with two registries accepted. State of Florida licensure required. Licenses: ARRT or ARDMS RT(VS) registered in two specialties. Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) required. Experience: None required for New Graduates; preferred experience in vascular, abdominal, or OB ultrasound acceptable. Additional: Must be proficient in performing both diagnostic and interventional ultrasound procedures and comfortable with night shift work.
