Location:
Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA
Hours:
36 hours overnights (7 pm-7:30 am) with weekend shift rotation every third weekend.

Job Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
Set up and administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen delivery and mechanical ventilator management.
Perform diagnostic procedures such as blood gas sampling, pulse oximetry, and BCLS.
Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment.
Wean patients from mechanical ventilation and other therapies following protocols.
Administer inhaled medications, CPAP/BiPAP, and other positive pressure therapies.
Transport mechanically ventilated patients and provide high-risk support.
Document therapy, assessments, and interventions in medical records.
Participate in daily ICU rounds, code teams, and in-service programs.
Educate patients, families, and staff regarding respiratory therapy.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
Licensed by the state of Massachusetts to provide respiratory care.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
One year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ACLS & NRP certification required within one year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
Two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Compensation Pay range: $37,18 – $47,41 per hour (based on minimum qualifications).
