Perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of an American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology physician specializing in maternal and fetal medicine. All procedures will be performed in accordance with AIUM guidelines.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine and specialized ultrasound exams including first trimester ultrasounds and detailed first-trimester fetal anatomy assessment.

Transvaginal ultrasounds to assess maternal and fetal anatomy, including cervical length management.

Complete Level 2 dedicated fetal anatomy surveys including detection of fetal anomalies.

Targeted exams for fetal anomalies and genetic conditions.

Structural fetal echo views and screenings as required by AIUM.

Follow-up imaging for intrauterine growth restriction.

Doppler studies including umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery (MCA), and uterine artery dopplers when required.

Nuchal translucency and nasal bone assessments.

3D and 4D imaging for diagnostic purposes.

Placenta assessments for previa, vaso previa, low-lying placenta and other placental concerns such as hemangiomas and chorioangiomas.

Biophysical ultrasounds when needed.

Intraoperative imaging when requested for dilation and curettage (D&C) procedures, as well as guidance for hysteroscopy procedures.

Regular reporting of preliminary findings to the maternal-fetal specialist.

Review and correlate patient’s exam orders with current history and prior exam history.

Verify correct transfer of images and exam information through PACS and RIS for physician interpretation and ensure correct charging.

Complete required ViewPoint entries and review data for accuracy and completeness.

Assist with daily operations of the Advanced OB Clinic, including equipment maintenance, cleaning and sterilization.

Troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.

Collaborate with the practice coordinator to ensure efficient patient throughput.

Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and materials to prevent service disruption.

Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications

Demonstrates standard knowledge of normal vs. abnormal anatomy.

Recognizes and diagnoses disease processes pertinent to exams performed.

Utilizes critical thinking and good decision‑making skills for critical findings.

Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to maternal‑fetal imaging.

Ability to adapt scanning technique for all levels of difficulty.

Works independently and efficiently, displaying confidence in diagnoses and images.

Physically capable of assisting patients on and off the table.

Performs exams in the clinic setting, at patient bedside or in the operating room when needed.

Maintains integrity, compassion, confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.

Takes self‑motivation and teamwork seriously.

Education All post‑high school education must have been obtained from a recognized college or university. Associates Degree in Allied Health is required. Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health is preferred. We will consider direct experience in lieu of education for certified candidates.

Experience 1–2 years of MFM scanning experience is preferred.

Certifications

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): RDMS(OB/GYN), or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): RT(S)

CPR – Basic Life Support
