Occupational Therapist – PRN Weekend Schedule – Desert Mountain
Desert Mountain Healthcare in Indio, CA, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our in‑house therapy team. Base Pay Range $55.00/hr – $60.00/hr
PRN : Friday – Sunday weekend schedule
Pay : $55 – $60 per hour (based on experience)

Experience / Qualifications Licensed Occupational Therapist. This position is open to OTs at all experience levels.
Required Duties
Effectively screen, evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop an appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence‑based practice to support clinical interventions.
Provide rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including but not limited to: ADL retraining; therapeutic activities; therapeutic exercises; modalities; use of supportive and assistive devices; etc.
Assess patients’ progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Modify services in relation to patient evaluation and refer based on outcomes.
Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers and other service providers related to physical disorders.
Effectively communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers and treatment plans.
Provide comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
